Watch a GitLab project

Stars, forks, issues, merge requests, releases, and commits on a public gitlab.com project.

What you need

The project's URL, like https://gitlab.com/group/project. Nested groups are fine. The project must be public.

Connect

  1. Open Configure, Sources tab. In the top row, pick GitLab.
  2. Project: paste the project URL.
  3. Monitor: check what you want. Commits take an optional Branch (HEAD means the default branch). Issues and merge requests take a State (Open, Closed, All).
  4. Click Confirm (the check mark).

What happens next

About once an hour (your plan may check less often) we update your dashboards with the counts you picked and the 25 newest issues, merge requests, releases or commits. Two projects? Add two rows.

Common problems

  • "Not found" for a project that exists: it's private. We can only read public projects for now.
  • A self-hosted GitLab URL doesn't work: only gitlab.com is supported.

What we can and can't watch

  • Can: everything in Monitor, for one public gitlab.com project per row.
  • Can't: private projects, self-hosted GitLab, pipelines, or anything older than the 25 newest items.

Privacy

No account access. We read GitLab's public API, like any visitor.
