GuidesSearch Console
Track Google Search clicks
Clicks, impressions, CTR, position, and top queries or pages for a Search Console property you can open with Google.
What you need
- A Search Console property you can open with your Google account. Any permission level works (owner, full or restricted user).
- The property name exactly as Search Console shows it:
- Domain property: sc-domain:example.com - URL-prefix property: the full URL, for example https://example.com/ (scheme, www and trailing slash must match)
The "Google hasn't verified this app" screen
Google hasn't finished reviewing Droppin' Eaves yet, so it shows this warning before the permission screen. That's expected. Choose Advanced, then the "Go to ... (unsafe)" link to reach the permission screen. (TODO: confirm the exact link text and the app name Google displays.)

Connect
- Open Configure, Sources tab. In the top row, pick Search Console.
- Click Connect Search Console. Choose your Google account, get past the unverified-app screen, and allow read access to Search Console.
- Site URL: pick the exact property from the list (or paste
sc-domain:example.com/https://example.com/from Search Console). - Monitor: check what you want on your dashboard (Clicks and Impressions are on by default). Search type is Web unless you want Image, Video, News, Discover, or Google News.
- Click Confirm (the check mark).
Already connected Gmail? Search Console still needs its own Connect.
What happens next
Once a day we read a trailing five-day window from Search Console (Google finalizes numbers a couple of days late, so we keep asking until a day shows up). Totals become charts. Queries, pages, devices and countries are ranked tables of the top 25 by clicks over that same window. One property per row; add a row for each site.
Common problems
- Numbers look a day or two behind: Search Console is still processing. Incomplete recent days can change as Google finalizes them.
- Permission error / HTTP 403: the Google account can't open that property, the name doesn't match exactly, or Search Console API isn't enabled for the app. Pick the property from the list after Connect. URL-prefix properties must match exactly (including trailing slash).
- Configure says "Connect was cancelled" or "Connect did not finish": click Connect Search Console on that row again.
- "Reconnect Search Console. The refresh token was rejected.": you removed our access at Google. Click Reconnect Search Console on the row.
What we can and can't watch
- Can: clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, plus top queries, pages, devices and countries, filtered to one Search type (Web is the default All tab).
- Can't: Search appearance, indexing, sitemaps, or URL inspection. We can't change anything in Search Console.
Privacy
- You grant Google's read-only Search Console permission. It covers the properties your Google account can see; we only read Search Analytics for the property on the row.
- We store the access encrypted. It is never sent to an AI model.
- To stop: remove the row in Configure (the minus button). Removing your last Search Console row deletes our stored access. To revoke at Google too, open https://myaccount.google.com/connections, choose Droppin' Eaves, then Remove access. Steps: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/13533235
